At the expo, you will:

  • Get help for supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children with diverse cultural backgrounds, disabilities, and more…
  • Hear from child protection and trauma specialist Annette Jackson” + get guidance from DET on assessment and rating
  • Shop games, toys, educator resources + connect to community organisation

Annette Jackson is the Regional Director of Berry Street Gippsland. For more than 35 years Annette has worked with at-risk children and families as a social worker. She was the Director of the Berry Street Take Two Program – a Victoria-wide therapeutic child protection program – for six years. She is particularly interested in childhood trauma and disrupted attachment, and therapeutic approaches towards recovery and strengthening relationships. Annette is also an experienced speaker, having presented at conferences from the USA, to Norway and China.


Expo schedule:

11.00am - 1.00pm: Workshop including keynote Annette Jackson

1.00pm - 2.30pm:   Expo with stall holders (light refreshments will be served)
